Dr. Alex M. Lam, MD

Alex Lam, M.D.

Dr. Lam is a native of Miami and has been practicing Rheumatology in South Florida since 2005. He speaks fluent Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Dr. Lam has lectured on various autoimmune diseases, including Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis and has taught medical school students and residents from Nova University. He underwent rigorous training at Cook County Hospital (Chicago) and Waterford Regional Hospital (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland). His fellowship at UMDNJ- Robert-Wood-Johnson Hospital was under the guidance of Dr. Robert Pinals, considered globally as a Master of Rheumatology. Dr. Lam’s extensive medical training and knowledge of Chinese and Alternative Medicine make him a physician with an expansive vision and remarkable clinical skills. Complementing cutting-edge medical treatments with diet, supplements and lifestyle are his passion.

Hugo Fonseca, DO

Hugo Fonseca, D.O.

Dr. Hugo Fonseca graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He consequently worked in basic science and clinical research at Miami Children’s Hospital where he was a co-author in several journal publications. Thereafter, he attended Nova Southeastern University earning his degree in medicine and moved on to complete his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach. He completed his Rheumatology fellowship training at the University of North Texas – PMC, where he was heavily involved in multiple clinical trials. Dr. Fonseca enjoys the general practice of Rheumatology, but has special interests in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, spondyloarthropathy, inflammatory muscle disease, crystal arthropathy, and osteoarthritis, among others. Dr. Fonseca is board certified in Rheumatology. During his fellowship training he also dedicated time to the study of ultrasonography in musculoskeletal disease and completed a one-year training under USSONNAR, becoming proficient in intraarticular injections under ultrasound guidance and using ultrasonography as a diagnostic tool. Dr. Fonseca is proficient in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He continues his medical training by attending state and national meetings and participating in state medical associations.

Patricia Neuman Guerra, MD

Patricia Neuman Guerra, M.D.

Patricia Neuman Guerra, M.D., is a Board Certified physician who specializes in clinical rheumatology with special interest in inflammatory arthritis. She earned her Medical Degree at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Miami – Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and her Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.

Dr. Neuman Guerra has participated in clinical research in knee osteoarthritis at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL and translational research in Endothelial cells and Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. She has also participated in quality improvement projects during her training including improving vaccinations rates, depression among medical trainees, and antibiotics stewardship.

Dr. Neuman Guerra grew up in Venezuela and is fluent in English and Spanish. She enjoys spending outdoor time with family and friends. She practices Rheumatology with compassion, empathy, and confidence. Dr. Neuman Guerra is a strong patient advocate and prioritizes patient care and wellbeing. Her goal as a physician is to establish a strong physician-patient relationship with each of her patients to heal and manage their chronic conditions.

Leticia N Anon APRN

Leticia N. Anon, A.P.R.N

Leticia Anon is a Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certified who specializes in Rheumatology. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida International University, and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing (APRN) degree at Barry University in Miami, FL. She is originally from Cuba and is fluent in English and Spanish. She has a Doctor of Medicine degree from Cuba where she practiced until she came to the United States in 1997. Her experience in Pediatric, Neonatology, and Rheumatology is extensive. Her passions include spending time with her family, helping her patients obtain a better health status and traveling the world.

Jaqueline Rodriguez

Jaqueline Rodriguez, PA-C

Jaqueline Rodriguez is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with experience in Internal Medicine. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. After her undergraduate studies, she worked in the Emergency Department as a medical scribe and as a certified nursing assistant in Pediatrics. Jaqueline then went on to attend the Physician Assistant program in Miami Dade College and she earned a Master’s degree in Medical Science at Saint Francis University.  Jaqueline is a current member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

Jaqueline grew up in South Florida and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Jaqueline first began practicing Internal Medicine where she developed a specific interest in the specialty of Rheumatology. Her versatile background and generalized training as a PA enables her to treat various rheumatological diseases. Her goal as a PA is to deliver patient-focused care and to offer patients the resources needed to achieve mental and physical wellness.

Lynette W Nicholson

Lynette W. Nicholson, P.A.-C

Lynette Nicholson is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Rheumatology. She has spent almost two decades working in the field of Rheumatology. Born and raised in South Florida, she obtained her EMT and paramedic certifications before pursuing her dream of becoming a Physician Assistant. She completed her education in Physician Assistant studies at Miami Dade College and her Master of Medical Science at Nova Southeastern University.

Outside of work, she is a proud mother to two daughters, and you will often find her and her husband cheering them on at their sporting events.

Diana M Zuleta

Diana M Zuleta, M.D.

Dr. Zuleta became interested in rheumatology at an early age after she was inspired by her father’s diagnosis with a debilitating autoimmune vasculitis. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Central Florida, and medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine- Bradenton, FL. She completed both her Residency training in internal Medicine and Rheumatology Fellowship at Larkin Hospital in South Miami, FL. Dr. Zuleta is board certified in Rheumatology and internal medicine. She is compassionate towards her patient’s and understands how devastating arthritis and autoimmune conditions can be to her patients and their families. During her fellowship she served as Chief fellow and participated in multiple clinical trials. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She realized that she was destined to pursue the field of Rheumatology as she enjoys treating a variety of Rheumatologic conditions, with interest in; Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Vasculitis, Psoriatic arthritis, Osteoporosis, Spondyloarthritis, inflammatory muscle disease, Scleroderma, gout, and osteoarthritis, among others. Dr. Zuleta enjoys helping relieve the suffering of those affected by their Rheumatologic conditions. She continues to actively extend her knowledge in rheumatology daily and actively participates in multiple national and state Rheumatology meetings.
